PetSmart ReBrand
"Founded August 14th, 1986, PetSmart is a privately held American chain of pet superstores, which sell pet products, services, and small pets."
PetSmart is the leading chain of pet superstores in North America, but it exists in a crowded landscape of strong competitors with somewhat indistinguishable brand characteristics. PetSmart provides a broad offering of supplemental pet services such as veterinary care, grooming, training classes, pet adoption and much more, but this part of the story is largely untold. There is an opportunity to tell a clearer, more compelling story about their brand that amplifies their top down enthusiasm for healthy pets and better supports their mission of doing “Anything for Pets.”

Create a rebrand for PetSmart.

"You have been hired to develop a trans-media re-brand for a business of your choice. The business can be any sizable company that you feel requires a new “look” based on research and company strategy. This project will focus on your ability to pitch your idea as well as develop a system of components that speak a clear and purposeful message. Logo History
New Rebrand
The new PetSmart logo champions the idea that PetSmart is the place to go to for your pet care needs. The logo sets the tone for the rest of the rebrand, and exudes warmth, passion and enthusiasm in a fresh and spirited fashion.
The bubbly nature of the typography seamlessly alludes back to our furry friends through its energetic tone and fluffy appearance. The addition of the paw print in place of the “A” is a reminder of the impact these pets have in our lives.
